AS-Level Physics

AS-Level Physics

Your AS-level physics is a very desirable qualification when applying for university courses, especially if combined with complimentary subjects such as other sciences and maths. As well as bumping up your UCAS tariff points, having AS-level physics broadens your knowledge into scientific pinciples and theories regarding how things work, which helps represent you as a analytical, critical and mechanical minded person.
Your AS-level physics is the first year of the full A-level course and the results you get for your AS-levels would be combined with your A2-level results to give a full A-level physics grade. The AS-level physics course consists of three modules, giving you a basic introduction to the principles of physics. You will learn about the how velocity, acceleration, force, mass and energy can contribute to create the guiding forces of the universe, as well as giving you a small introduction to theories. You will be assessed via examinations that take place in January and June each year, with the opportunity to resit modules should you feel you need to.
